Who we are and what this policy covers

Advanced Duluth Insulation Company is an insulation contractor in Duluth, MN. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, call us or ask for an estimate, what we do with it and what choices you have.

It applies to this website, starting from our home page, and to the information you give us while we set up and finish your job. You can read more about who we are on our About page.

Information you give us

When you fill out our estimate form, call or email us, we collect what you choose to share. That usually includes your name, phone number, email address, the address of the house and a description of the problem, such as a drafty room, a hot upstairs or cold floors over a crawl space.

If you send photos of your attic or crawl space, we keep those with your request so the crew knows what to expect before they arrive. We don't ask for payment card numbers through the website.

Our estimate form is run by a third-party form service. What you type goes to that service and then to us, so we can reply.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records some basic technical details when you visit. These can include your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you look at, how long you stay and the site that sent you here.

We use this to see which pages people find useful and to fix anything that isn't working. It doesn't tell us your name unless you also send us a form or call.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files your browser stores so a site can remember your visit. Our site and the analytics tools we may use set cookies to count visits and see how people move through the pages.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features, such as the form remembering what you typed, may not.

How we use your information

We use what you give us to reply to you, schedule an estimate at your property, do the work, send invoices and follow up afterward if something needs a second look.

We also use visit information to improve the website, and we keep records when the law requires it, such as for taxes.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't rent it to anyone for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We share information only with people and companies that help us run the business, such as our crew, our form service, email and website hosting, and analytics providers. They get what they need to do that work for us and nothing more.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or if the business is ever sold, in which case this policy would still apply to what we hold.

How long we keep it

We keep estimate requests and job records for as long as we need them to finish your job, answer questions about the work later and meet our tax and legal record-keeping duties.

If you asked for an estimate and didn't go ahead, we keep your request only as long as it's useful for following up, then delete it. Website visit data is kept in summary form and isn't tied to your name.

How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, such as limiting who can see it and using services that protect data in transit. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don't send us anything sensitive, like a bank or card number, through the form or by email.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. We'll do that unless we have to keep a record by law, and if so we'll tell you why.

If we ever send you follow-up emails or texts, you can ask us to stop at any time. Depending on where you live, your state's law may give you other rights over your data, and we'll honor those too.

To make a request, use our contact page or call us. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we share or change anything, so your information stays yours.

Children's information

Our website is meant for adults arranging work on a home or building. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and if we learn we have, we delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website or the services we use change. The current version will always be on this page, and if a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll let you know.
